Youth Employment Program 2010!

As part of local Workforce Investment Act activities and funding, the Monterey County Office for Employment Training is operating a Youth Employment Program for local youth ages 14-21.
In this program, youth are able to gain valuable, hands-on work experience with a diverse range of local private, non-profit and government-sector employers.
Recognizing that the current economic climate has significantly affected the employment prospects of local youth, the Youth Employment Program is seeking to place as many as 1200 youth into a work experience opportunity this summer.
- For Employers
In order to accomplish this goal, we are seeking your support and willingness to become an Employment Partner and provide an opportunity for one or more youth to "learn and earn" at no out-of-pocket cost to your business or organization.
Becoming an Employment Partner is easy! Youth Program WorkConnection staff are readily available to facilitate the process and answer any questions you may have. Click here to download a copy of the Employment Partner Application form, give us a call at (831) 755-5086 or send us an e-mail at WorkConnection@co.monterey.ca.us.
