The Monterey County Workforce Development Board (WDB) oversees the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM located in Monterey County and maintains service agreements with 16 local partners throughout Monterey County. Three of the WDB’s partners are the major stakeholders and investors of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM. They include the
Office for Employment Training (OET), Employment Development Department (EDD) and the Monterey County Department of Social Services (DSS).
OET is funded by the local WDB, EDD receives a majority of its funding through Wagner-Peyser and Trade Adjustment Assistance and CWES is funded through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
In addition to the three major partners of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM, a number of “rotating partners” provide regular or occasional services at one or more of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM.
Together, these partners have improved the lives of over 5,000 individuals throughout Monterey County per year through the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM.
