
Monterey County Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
The Monterey County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is responsible for providing oversight and developing strategic policy for the utilization of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds in Monterey County. The WIB is a business-led legislative body, appointed by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. The WIB, whose composition is defined by the WIA, includes individuals representing business leaders, local educational entities, community-based organizations, economic development agencies, One-Stop partners, and labor organizations.
The WIB serves as a catalyst to integrate all private and public partners to effectively educate, train and place individuals with the necessary resources and skills to fulfill employer needs. We offer a dynamic and comprehensive workforce investment system through our One-Stop Career Center system.
